Direct,
out of Allentown, Pennsylvania!!
Mad Dog & Blues Night Out captures the soul of the Blues and hearts of
all ages. Their rich, genuine style and dedication to the music
makes this band unique to all who appreciate American Blues Legends.
Their commitment to Chicago and Urban styled Blues reaches back in time to
the great legendary artists such as Sonny Boy Williamson I and II, Walter
Horton, Willie Dixon, Wynnonie Harris and Buster Brown. Experience
the gutsy, authentic sound that captivates blues connoisseurs and brings
audiences everywhere to their feet.
As Mad Dog leads the band with his growling
vocals and howling harmonica, it becomes evident that this man has been
playing since the mid 70s. He has performed with many of his Blues
influences such as Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, Lonnie Brooks, Big Jack
Johnson, John Brim, Kenny Neal, Katherine Davis, The Kinsey Report, Sam
Carr, Johnnie Johnson, Eddie C. Campbell, Artie "Blues Boy"
White, Carey Bell, The Nighthawks, John Popper and many more. Mad
Dog had also appeared at the King Biscuit Blues Festival in Helena
Arkansas in 1988.
Mad Dog & Blues Night Out have had the great
privilege of opening for such acts as Buddy Guy, Charlie Musselwhite,
Ronnie Earl, John Hammond, Sonny Rhodes, Kenny Neal, The Nighthawks,
Debbie Davies and Little Mike and The Tornadoes to name a few.
With eyes looking across the globe, this
Pennsylvania based band strived to be more than just a local blues
act. This came to fruition when they backed JSP
recording artist, Lonnie Shields
in 1996. Mad Dog & Blues Night Out backed Lonnie for a seven
month tour covering several mid-western states, the east coast and Canada.
On their own, the group has successfully promoted
their way into Blues festivals all over the east coast. Furthermore,
Mad Dog & Blues Night Out had taken first place in the Lehigh Valley
Blues Network competition of eastern Pennsylvania. This placed the
group amongst the top 42 Blues acts in the country. They then
performed at the New Daisy Theater in Memphis Tennessee in 1997.
After spending the last seven years working from
club to club and building their ever-growing fanbase, Mad Dog & Blues
Night Out are currently promoting their new CD release, "Shoulda,
Coulda, Woulda".
So join them and be a part of this exciting time with the Blues.
